Nominees for the Week Ending June
12, 2004
The Volunteers of the Habitat for Humanity Greater Fox Cities
Area’s 5th Annual “Women Build” – Local Ladies Work Hard to
Deliver Housing to Those in Need
The
volunteers for the
Fifth Annual “Women Build” event are
working on a tight deadline. They hope to complete construction of two new
homes, one on 125 West Capitol Drive and one on 121 West Capitol Drive (both
in Appleton) prior to their dedication ceremony on June 27.
Approximately 350 women from all walks of life, and many with little or no
construction experience, will be sawing and hammering throughout the month
of June to reach their goal. A lot of the volunteers are so dedicated that
they use vacation time each year to take part in the project.
When
all is said and done, the houses constructed on Capitol Drive will be the 50th
and 51st Habitat homes built in the Fox Valley. Volunteers are
still more than welcome to participate… For more information, please call
920-954-8702 or visit their website by

Thank you to all the volunteers for the Fifth Annual “Women Build” for
making a positive difference in the Fox Valley!
